| Just to let everyone know, we are now official Examiners - Xanterra has an online news/blog type of thing, and we were accepted as Pentecostal Examiners for the Phoenix area since they don't have one for the Northern AZ area. Brian & I will be discussing various things on our page, and we'll get $10 for every 1,000 hits...I know it isn't alot, but it challenges us to write more and earn a few extra pennies. Check it out & let us know what you think! http://www.examiner.com/x-12053-Phoenix-Pentecostal-Examiner Blessings! | | |

| This morning one of my favorite professors accepted God's ultimate will and went to be with the Lord in heaven. It is hard to imagine because just last year we were graduating and talking with him. He had some kind of infection in his blood and white blood cell count was low. He had been fighting cancer awhile ago, and his immune system couldn't handle this infection. He was the foremost church/Pentecostal historian, and published a few books on the subject. I remember reading his material in SAGU, and then when I got to AGTS I was excited that he was one of my professors. Anyways - he was a good man and will be sorely missed. But he knew he did not have a lot of time, and asked to be taken off the ventilator. He said that he wanted to accept God's plan for his life. And so he did. So alot has been going on with us here. We have been keeping busy. Every weekend something is going on. Elfing has been fun, with the exception of some of the cranky people that work on the train. In each car there is a "chef" (not a real chef, but one dressed up like a chef who basically leads singing & passes out cookies) and there is also an elf. They are suppose to work as a team...but sometimes the chef just likes to order the elf around, and have the elf do all of the dirty work. I'd say out of the 5 times I have worked on the train, I've only worked with 1 chef who understands how to be a good chef & entertain the kids. Bah! I am upset because I like being an elf...but the chefs that are mean & cranky won't let me elf! One even told me "You're not suppose to be singing!" (I think she was jealous because I had somewhat of a voice, and she had lost hers). There has been a nasty cold going around, and it kills most of our throats. Anyhoo - I had to miss Monday night & will be missing Friday night again because I will be at a Christmas party blowing up balloons & making animal balloons like I use to when we went on trips to Mexico. This time I will be getting paid. That is on top of our Saturday holiday portrait fundraiser & Our Sunday night Christmas movie night & our Holiday toy drive & our Christmas eve Community service...and did I mention Brian's parents are coming in for the week of Christmas? What else...terrible 2's are hitting Mercy...it is not always a pretty sight...tantrums & jumping on the bed... Last night we went to the Xanterra Christmas party & it was funny to watch Mercy when she got loose from us. She would gallop around like a horse and dance to no music. She was energized by all the people! I don't know where she gets that from ;) So it was fun, but it was awful trying to keep her from moving all around & eat my dinner at the same time. I'll have to post some pics up later! Lots more stuff to tell, but I am tired! | | |
| I have taken a blogging hiatus - only to blog when necessary because my time has been quite limited lately. I do check my facebook page though. So real quickly - we are doing well, Mercy has been a little sick lately, but she is growing up fast. Our church is growing slowly, but surely :) We had an awesome outpouring of the Spirit on Sunday morning. And we are grateful to the Lord for that! I'm starting a 3rd job next week for the Christmas season - I'll be an elf (no short jokes please) on the "Polar Express" Train that goes from Williams to the Canyon. I'll get to lead Christmas choruses & entertain lots of kids & families.

| Hello friends, family & prayer partners. I am asking for prayer on behalf of one of my closest friends, Ruth. This morning her son Josh, 11 years old had a grand-mal seizure where he was not breathing and lost oxygen for some time. They did a cat-scan, but are not sure what has caused it, and have only told her to watch him closely for the next 24 hours. As a mom, I can’t even imagine the difficulties she is facing right now. She has called and asked that we put him on a prayer chain. Please pray for him & for her – she is having a hard time, she said it does not look good right now for him – he may have had some brain damage from the loss of oxygen as well. We believe that God can touch his life and bring healing to his body, and that he will be a testimony of the power of prayer! Please join me in prayer for this situation!
